December 10, 2011
This has been a very good week and a half for Wheels of Change:
On November 30, the San Francisco Book Review named Wheels as one of their reviewers’ “Favorite Book of 2011.”
On December 5, BrainPickings.org named it one of the 11 Best Photography Books of 2011. It’s the only young adult book on the list, which includes Pilgrimage by Annie Leibovitz and a biography of Diane Arbus.
Then came the news that Wheels is one of five finalists for the prestigious YALSA Award for Excellence in Nonfiction. The winning book will be announced at the midwinter conference of the American Library Association on January 23.
And finally, this weekend the Washington Post named Wheels one of the Best Children’s Books of 2011.
