New York Times Letter

On Monday, July 4, the New York Times ran an article about the fact that female cyclists in New York are greatly outnumbered by male cyclists, and it looked at reasons for that. Today's Times features a letter to the editor that I wrote in response, citing an example from Wheels of Change showing how far female cyclists have come since the bicycle boom of the 1890s. There's also a letter from Janette Sadik-Khan, Commissioner of the New York City Department of Transportation, as well as the terrific graphic by Kelly Blair that I've reproduced here.
